A) ENTRY FEES AND DEADLINES

NAIOP Member – $200 for first submission.
Non-member – $245 for the first submission.

Multiple entry discount: After the first submission, all entries are entitled to a $50 discount. (Discount code can be found in the email receipt and in the onscreen confirmation.)

Early bird discount: All entries received by Friday, February 7, 2025 receive a $50 discount.

Late fee: All entries received after Friday, February 14, 2025 will be assessed a $50 late fee.

No entries will be accepted after Friday, February 21, 2025.

These awards will recognize the most exciting projects in landscape architecture / infrastructure or land development.

C) JUDGING CRITERIA

The criteria being judged with weights include:

Problem Solving (weight 5); Sustainability (weight 4); Project Impact (weight 4); Design (weight 2); Collaboration (weight 2).

E) NARRATIVE

Your project will be judged based on the answers provided below. Please refer to the judging criteria in Section C.

1. How does this project demonstrate excellence in land use practices? What is the sensitivity to the surrounding community and how has the design been thoughtful and sustainable?

2. Were there any creative solutions used to address unique development challenges?

3. How is the design highly functional and useable? Explain how the design is thoughtful and sensitive to its context and character.

4. Is the project inclusively designed and accessible for all users? How have site challenges been overcome in an innovative or creative way?

5. Does this project make demonstrable effort towards (net) carbon neutrality and mitigating climate change?

Explain how the design maximizes adaptation and resilience to future climate changes, including increased temperatures and associated risks, positive contributions towards healthy, connected habitats for biodiverse species, how the team mitigated other environmental harms and pollution (including air and water) wherever possible.

6. How has this project maximized the potential of collaboration and multi-stakeholders and community partners working together?

7. How has this project demonstrated commitments to quality across all stages of the landscape lifecycle, from design and planning to maintenance?

8. Has the execution of the project helped to advance equity, diversity and inclusion?
