We are actively looking to acquire 20+ acre plots of land, viable for multi-family development, in Ohio, North and South Carolina, and the Florida Panhandle. It’s important to emphasize that some of our best referrals have come from friends and family, so don’t hesitate to reach out with ideas!
FAVORITE PROJECT | What is your favorite PRIDE ONE project that you’ve been a apart of in the CLE during your professional career?
My favorite and most impressive Pride One project in Cleveland would undoubtedly be La Collina Little Italy. From a constructability standpoint, this project had so many technical constraints, with such little tolerance for error. The contractors and superintendents did a superb job of coordinating and executing. The La Collina project required shoring along Mayfield Road and the adjacent buildings, in order to excavate for the 20+ ft. deep “underground” parking garage. Survey nails were set in the facade of each adjacent building, and frequently surveyed, to ensure the buildings were not moving. La Collina Little Italy, now a completed mixed-use development, features 1, 2 and 3 Bedroom Living Spaces and ground level retail/office space.
FUN FACT | What’s the last book you read?
I, along with the rest of Pride One’s Development Team, am currently reading, Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek. Leaders Eat Last is full of inspirational and thought provoking supplemental stories detailing what it truly means to be a Leader. I would highly recommend this book to anyone pursuing personal and professional growth.
ADVICE | What is the best advice you’ve received that you can share with your fellow Developing Leaders?
EAT THE FROG! As Mark Twain wrote, “If the first thing you do in the morning is to eat the frog, then you can continue your day with the satisfaction of knowing that this is probably the worst thing that will happen to you all day.”It’s human nature to procrastinate, or avoid doing that one task that we know is going to be very difficult, result in negative feedback or may just be outside our comfort level. However, by changing our prioritization process and getting the uncomfortable task accomplished at the beginning of each work day, we can reduce stress and increase productivity!
